To promote research work of the highest order in all branches of knowledge for the advancement and dissemination of research findings in those subjects currently in force at this university and those which may be instituted in the future according to the needs of the country.
To suggest for the formulation of various policies, strategies, and guidelines with regard to research and research-related matters covering ethics, research integrity, health and safety, environment safeguards, risk management, grievance mechanism, extension and outreach, and so on.
To recommend for approval of various research schemes including research infrastructure development and improvement of the overall research environment of the university.
To act as the custodian of maintaining and improving the research infrastructure of the university in accordance with the terms of reference and guidelines as deemed necessary by KU authority and in collaboration with the respective academic discipline of the university.
To formulate, organize, frame, coordinate, and execute all research schemes with the cooperation of respective academic disciplines as directed by KU authority according to the needs of the country.
To arrange for monitoring and evaluation of research programs funded by KURC.
To maintain liaison with other research institutes and organizations in the country and abroad to hunt research funds and collaborate in cooperation with the International Office of Khulna University.
To organize symposia, conferences, and seminars on various aspects of scholastic knowledge.
To publish bulletins, research reports, data sets, and other information materials of both fundamental and applied nature and to create necessary facilities for this purpose.
To perform such other activities that may fall within the purview of research activities of Khulna University as may be deemed necessary by KU authority in furtherance of the objectives of the University.
